My 11 year old shelty mix dog had been having major problems getting up and moving around. In fact, one morning, after we'd taken him outside to the bathroom, he wasn't even able to go up the stairs into the house - we had to give him a boost to make it inside. That's when I knew he needed some help. I purchased Cosequin DS Plus and within two weeks, he's now running around, taking the stairs with ease, and playfully frolicking around the house with our pup. He's almost like new again. I will definitely purchase this product again. Not sure yet how it works long term, since we've only been using it for almost a month, but it definitely works!
My dog loves these and they're like treats to him. I was using a regular glucosamine supplement that wasn't a chewable- so difficult. This is more expensive but worth it. I can't speak to the effectiveness as much since my dog doesn't have any joint issues, I'm just giving them to him because he is a large breed dog prone to that kind of thing and he's getting older, but I know that glucosamine does work and am happy I found a good preventative.
